Certified DIRFloortime® Expert and Training Leader

Neurodifferences, children, adults, and families

My work in the field of neurodifferences includes children, adults, and families. In recent years I have focused more and more on psychological and therapeutic support for neurodivergent adults, because this area is still not studied or supported enough, either locally or internationally.

I also have many years of experience working with autistic children and children with multiple developmental differences. A separate part of my practice is connected with helping non-speaking autistic children begin to use speech. This is not simply an “author’s method” in a general sense: its authorship is officially registered and confirmed by a patent certificate.

DIRFloortime®

A large part of my work is connected with DIRFloortime®. I am a DIRFloortime® Expert Training Leader, the highest trainer credential in the specialist training system.

For me, DIRFloortime® is much more than a method. It is a philosophy of relating to the child, to the parents, and to the family system as a whole. This approach supports contact and development as gently and with as little stress as possible, while also helping reduce the risk of parental burnout without lowering the quality of developmental support.

DIRFloortime® relies on development through emotions, relationships and a child’s natural interest. We look for what already awakens curiosity and use it as an invitation into contact, exploration, and growth.

My long experience with neurodivergent children and adolescents, as well as with adults in psychotherapy, naturally led me to see DIRFloortime® as promising not only in work with children, but also in psychological and therapeutic support for adults.

In work with neurodivergent adults, I am close to a neuroaffirming approach in psychological and therapeutic work. For me, this does not mean denying the difficulties related to autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivity, or other nervous system differences. Rather, it means refusing the goal of making a person “more neurotypical” at any cost.

The therapeutic goal is not masking or forcing a person to fit an external norm. It is quality of life: reducing suffering, expanding autonomy, developing self-protection skills, understanding personal limits, and creating an environment where the nervous system does not have to pay such a high price every day.

For families

In work with families, DIRFloortime® helps parents notice subtle signals, understand sensory and emotional needs, and support development through everyday interaction, rather than through exhausting “training” detached from family life.

Parent coaching in DIRFloortime® is not about “doing the specialist’s tasks correctly.” It is about helping parents use their energy precisely and sustainably, so support for the child does not exhaust the parents but becomes a manageable part of family life.

For specialists

I offer training, supervision, and practical case discussions for psychologists, speech therapists, special educators, teachers, and other specialists working with children with developmental differences.

DIRFloortime® cannot be mastered only through books or lectures. Like a foreign language, it requires regular practice, feedback, video analysis, support from a more experienced specialist, and live discussion.

In supervision, I help specialists explore not only methodological questions, but also their own state: anxiety, perfectionism, fatigue, difficulty with boundaries and contact with the child’s family. The quality of support for a child is directly connected with the steadiness and awareness of the adult.

My approach

I stand for gentleness, professional clarity, and deep respect for the person: the child, the parent, the specialist, and the adult client. It is important to me that help does not become violence disguised as development, and that training does not become a mere formality “for the certificate.”

At the center of my work is quality of life: not only overcoming difficulties, but also restoring inner support, the capacity for contact, joy, resilience, independence, and development.
